I have the honour to refer to your Lordship'
Deaya toh No.96 of the 25th February, forwarding a copy of
a despatch from the Government of Hong Kong eno losing co pi es
of a Bill which it is proposed to introduce in the Legislative
Council of the Colony entitled "An Ordinance to provide for
the registration of nurses for the Sick", together with copies
of the regulations which it is proposed to make under the power
given in the Bill.
2. The General Nursing Council of the Irish FrO ●
State are not aware of any objection to the terms of th
proposed bill so far as they are concerned, and they will be
prepared to grant reciprocal treatment to all persons on the
Regis ter for Hong Kong so long as they are satisfied as to
the standard of training.
3.
Me reference in Clause 5. of the Bill to the
General Nursing Council for Ireland is, however, incorrect
as there is no anoh body. The reference should be adapted as
a referem e to the General Nursing Council for the Irish
Free State, and the similar body in Northern Ireland.
